Expertise

Ben’s expertise in finance, compensation and human resources provides a sought after skillset to advise boards of directors and senior management.  With a focus on corporate governance and risk management and mitigation strategies, Ben specializes in providing compensation plan accounting, internal controls and financial statement disclosure support, fair valuation methodologies and the financial and capital management forecasting and modeling impacts of incentive plan design including tax planning and structuring, scorecard performance development and assessment, M&A support and integration, alignment of organizational culture and vision with human resource strategies including policy development, performance and talent management and succession planning design.

Background & Affiliations

Ben has over 25 years of combined experience including a background in the tax industry as Manager, Tax and Legal Services at PricewaterhouseCoopers and subsequently several years with one of Canada’s largest corporations as Vice President, Finance and Compensation. Prior to GGA, Ben spent 16 years at RF Capital Group most recently as Interim Chief Financial Officer and Chief Executive Officer and UDP of RF Securities Clearing and previously held the role of Managing Director, Finance and Head of Human Resources, Compensation & Special Projects.

As well, since 2016, Ben has been a volunteer member of the Board of Directors, and Chairs the Human Resources Committee, at The Country Day School, an independent, not-for-profit organization, tasked with overseeing the governance of the School including oversight of strategy, policy and management.
