Chicago, Illinois. Global Governance Advisors partners, Brad Kelly and Peter Landers, will speak at the NCPERS Chief Investment Officer Summit (CIO) in Chicago on June 14-15, 2018.

The upcoming CIO Summit is the culmination of NCPERS’ extensive research and engagement with its membership over the course of 12 months in 2016. NCPERS worked with a small group of public plan CIOs, interviewed nearly 20 public pensions, and conducted a membership-wide survey on the needs of public pension investment staff. A consistent theme from this field research was a desire and need of CIOs-particularly mid-market plan CIOs-to learn, network, and share with peers.

GGA will lead a discussion about building a performance driven investment culture. Brad Kelly commented, “it’s important to understand that paying fairly and competitively increases your ability to attract and retain the talent you need.” Peter Landers added, “offering incentives for measurable performance positively impacts your ability to realize the financial success you need to fulfill your pension promise.”
